Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Contacted Andre to come down and paint a mural on our boarded up shopfront. We wanted to let our customers know we were back trading. He did an amazing job. People walking past pop their head in and comment on his work everyday. He got their attention!!
Great work Andre. Thankyou.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I worked with Andre at Set It Off to design a feature wall for my facility, and he absolutely nailed it. I wanted to create a “chandelier moment” something that made people stop as soon as they walked in, and he brought that vision to life perfectly.

Andre was easy to work with, understood exactly what I was after, and delivered something that completely lifts the space. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

I had a rugby mural painted in my pool house, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The detail, colors, and energy in the artwork are outstanding — it truly captures the spirit of the game and has become the centerpiece of the whole space. The artist was professional, easy to work with, and clearly passionate about his craft. Every time I walk past the mural, I’m blown away by the quality. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind piece of art! Thank you so much Andre!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Could not recommend Andre enough - from the first communications we had, the design phase right through to delivery of the final piece he has been incredibly helpful, responsive and very accommodating. On top of that he is an incredible artist - how he produces what he does is inspiring. Love his work, his work ethic, professionalism and humbleness - cannot wait to get him back to do a few more things for us!

With the very few photos I had sent to him, not only did he manage to incorporate them well together but also gave it character. Couldn't be happier with the final product, highly recommend!

Trompe L’Oeil Murals FAQs

How do I commission a mural artist for 3D effects and what’s the process?

After an initial consultation to discuss your vision, I provide hand-drawn concept sketches and digital mock-ups showcasing the proposed depth and perspective. Once approved, I execute the mural on-site, using fine-art spray techniques and brushwork to bring your 3D illusion wall art with custom 3d effects to life.

What surfaces are best for a 3D illusion wall art installation?

Smooth, well-prepared substrates, such as smooth rendered walls, concrete panels, primed plaster or aluminium sheets; are ideal for achieving crisp lines and rich detail. Before the 3d illusion wall art can be painted, I consult on substrate choice and preparation to maximize the optical illusion mural’s longevity and visual effect. Including working with architects, designers, expert builders and professional landscapers to ensure your vision can become a reality.

How long does a mural with depth last, and are they suitable for high-traffic areas?

When painted with premium exterior acrylics and sealed with protective coating, Trompe L’Oeil murals withstand sunlight, moisture and wear. Properly maintained, your mural with depth will retain their illusionary impact for many years, even in busy environments.

Can you create custom optical illusion murals for my space?

Absolutely. As a specialist mural artist, I design bespoke 3D illusion wall art tailored to your décor, from faux windows and columns to immersive landscapes. Ensuring your custom Trompe L’Oeil mural perfectly complements its surroundings. Optical illusion murals can be quite expensive due to labour required to execute properly, please contact me if you are interested in wow factor artwork.

What are Trompe L’Oeil Mural and how do they work?

Trompe L’Oeil murals are a form of 3D illusion wall art that tricks the eye into perceiving painted details as real architectural features or objects. By using perspective, shading, and mural artist 3D effects, each optical illusion mural creates convincing depth on a flat surface.
