This office interior mural stretches across three walls, designed to guide the viewer through a narrative as it unfolds from left to right. Titled “Flux”, the artwork tells a story about human perception, digital mediation, and imagined futures. All carefully composed within a professional, creative workspace. It’s not just a decorative office interior mural, but an immersive feature wall that offers employees and visitors a visual dialogue about technology and change.

The mural begins on the left with an analogous photorealistic cityscape, grounded in recognisable structures and soft colour tones. This side of the artwork represents a familiar urban setting, though slight abstract features within the buildings and perspective hint that there is more beneath the surface. The focus then shifts to the central character; a young woman outfitted in a virtual reality headset. Her posture and line of sight suggest she is actively engaging with and interpreting the world around her, setting the tone for what’s to come.
Emerging from the character are fine computational wires, extending into a central device rendered in abstract computer hardware aesthetics. This “I/O device” becomes the point of transformation. It represents the interface between perception and imagination, the point at which reality is processed, translated, and projected into something new. The background distortion lines behind the character reinforce the idea of movement and visual conversion with flowing data, reframed experience, and the fluidity of thought within digital realms.
To the right of the mural, the scene shifts entirely. The previously grounded cityscape now morphs into a highly stylised, futuristic dreamworld. Buildings are pixelated and angular, lighting is exaggerated, and the environment moves from warm sunset tones to deep purples and glowing neons. This part of the mural embodies what the character sees. Her internalised vision, synthesised through the VR interface. It’s not just a shift in visual style but in state of mind, from the concrete to the imagined.

I offer fly-in fly-out (FIFO) mural installations across Australia and select international locations. Here’s how we handle travel, accommodation, materials, scheduling, and coordination to ensure a seamless project anywhere.
- For projects within Greater Hobart (e.g. Sandy Bay, Battery Point, Kingston), I drive directly, keeping costs down and schedules flexible.
- For mainland or interstate work, I fly from Melbourne to Hobart, booking well in advance to secure the best fares and allowing buffer days for site inspections and prep.
- For wider regional Tasmania (e.g. Launceston, Devonport), I plan multi-day road trips with comfortable overnight stops.
- Accommodation is arranged close to site, serviced apartments or vetted local lodgings depending on project length.
- I select reputable options for comfort and reliability to ensure the project can be implemented with a quality finish.
- Some rare circumstances I may need to pre-ship paints, coatings, and equipment to a local address ahead of arrival to ensure everything’s on hand.
- Most jobs, I source consumables locally, carrying only unique or branded items that I know are quality.
- Tools and scaffolding can be rented, this is itemised in the proposal.
- A clear timeline is set before booking travel (prep, painting days, clear coat, buffer for weather).
- Daily milestones and updates keep everyone aligned.
- Client availability (site access windows) is coordinated early to avoid any last minute changes.
- We review site photos/videos or do a virtual walkthrough before travel.
- During installation, I can share daily progress photos if required.
- After completion, I send hi res images, maintenance advice, and remain available for follow-up.
- Quotes break out travel (flight or mileage + accommodation), materials shipping/local sourcing, installation days, and any other fees.
- Savings (e.g. driving vs. flying) are reflected so you see clear cost benefits.
- A small contingency for schedule is included but minimised through accurate planning.
- I carry insurance covering travel and on site work; for interstate/international jobs all insurances are covered.
- I can liaise with relevant stakeholders such as building managers or architects ahead of time to secure a satisfactory outcome for the murals.
