For this Poolside Feature Mural in Adelaide, I collaborated closely with the client to create a bespoke, site specific design that enhances the pool environment and withstands the local climate. After finalising the concept and dimensions, I coordinate travel to Adelaide and arrange accommodation near the site. On arrival, I conduct a thorough site survey and surface preparation, cleaning, priming, and repairing as needed. To ensure optimal paint adhesion I source most consumables locally in Adelaide. The hand painted mural is managed end to end. I confirm access details and any pool area constraints before starting, and upon finishing, I walk through maintenance guidance with you. All travel, accommodation, materials, and protective coatings are transparently itemised in your proposal, ensuring there are no surprises and that the feature mural delivers elegant impact.
A Dynamic Fusion of Tile and Graffiti

Creating a custom poolside feature mural presents a unique challenge, especially with a rendered wall. For this project, I integrated the mural into the existing tile splash back, using its intricate details and colours as a foundation. The concept grew organically from the space, blending the splash back into the mural to create movement and excitement. The title, ‘Set It Off,’ reflects the energy and explosion within the design, as the mural flows across the wall and into the pool area. The mural not only adds vibrant energy to the space but also harmony with the surrounding elements, such as the custom lighting and modern decor. Designed to be appreciated in person, the piece captures a sense of uniqueness, turning a regular wall into a dynamic feature. The carefully crafted depth and continuity between the artwork and the tiles make it a standout feature in this open plan living area, setting a post-modern tone for the poolside decor.

I offer fly-in fly-out (FIFO) mural installations across Australia and select international locations. Here’s how we handle travel, accommodation, materials, scheduling, and coordination to ensure a seamless project anywhere. Some cities close to Melbourne are accessible via vehicle, reducing travel time and costs.
- For projects within a comfortable drive radius of Adelaide such as the Barossa Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula, Murraylands, or the Limestone Coast. I drive directly. This saves airfare, allows flexible timing, and makes last-minute adjustments easier.
- For regions a bit farther but still reachable by car over 1–2 days (i.e beyond Adelaide), I plan with overnight stops factoring rest breaks and accommodation into the schedule.
- For projects beyond practical driving range (e.g., Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, or international locations), I book flights well in advance to secure the best fares aligned with project dates. I also include buffer days on arrival for site inspection, final prep, and any unforeseen delays.
- I book serviced apartments or well reviewed local lodgings close to the project location to minimise commute time and maximise on site productivity.
- I select reputable options for comfort and reliability to ensure the project can be implemented with a quality finish.
- In rare cases, I might arrange to ship specific paints ahead of my arrival in Adelaide to ensure everything is on hand from day one. This is planned well in advance and coordinated with a local address or storage facility.
- Most jobs, I source consumables locally, carrying only unique or branded items that I know are quality.
- Tools and scaffolding can be rented, this is itemised in the proposal.
- A clear timeline is set before booking travel (prep, painting days, clear coat, buffer for weather).
- Daily milestones and updates keep everyone aligned.
- Client availability (site access timeline) is coordinated early to avoid any last minute changes.
